    We have an immediate opening for a Junior AV Engineer to join our California office located in Los Alamitos. The Junior AV Engineer will be an integral part of a team dedicated to design, installation and service.

    Primary Role

    Dual role will create audio-visual systems for board/conference rooms, training centers, collaboration spaces and more based on a review of customers’ needs, AND will conduct installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of AV equipment. Learn from a mentor on the IGI engineering team.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Create detailed drawings and proposals
    • Assist with sales opportunities by providing technical expertise and performing site surveys
    • Control system programming a plus
    • Perform installation tasks for AV projects such as pulling and terminating cable, mounting projectors, displays and dvLED walls, rack wiring, etc.
    • Perform preventative maintenance services, routine testing, and problem diagnosis of integrated systems
    • Maintain IGI quality expectations
    • Ability to balance multiple tasks and changing priorities
    • Effective communication with clients and colleagues
    • Read and interpret architectural drawings, schematics, and blueprints
    • Grow professionally through ongoing training and certifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 1 year design experience within the corporate audio-visual industry (large video wall design experience a plus)
    • Minimum of 5 years installation experience of audio, video, and control systems as well as architectural and cabling requirements
    • Knowledgeable with Crestron and AMX (programming experience beneficial)
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Visio and D-tools a plus)
    • Valid driving license and clean driving record
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
    • Located in Orange or L.A. County area commutable to our Los Alamitos office location
    • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

    Applicants may be required to go through a background check and a pre-employment drug screening. Because we perform installations at classified and secret level government facilities, candidates must be able to pass a government background check.

    Travel

    Regular local and occasional out of state/overnight travel.

    Work Hours

    Normal work hours for the Junior AV Engineer job are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

    Additional Information
