Job Description

We are growing our welding/fabrication team in Michigan.  This opportunity will be focused on providing commercial audio visual systems specifically to General Motors, Ford and other large Michigan based entities.   We seek individuals with a great attitude and strong technical aptitude.

Primary Responsibilities

• Fabrication of mechanical structures
• Welding aluminum up to .25 thick
• Machining of custom parts for structures
• Onsite installation of structures
• Onsite installation of infrastructure cabling, speakers, displays, and other AV equipment
• Help with other tasks including site cleanup, building maintenance, etc.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of reading and interpreting build and assembly drawings
• Must have at least five (5) years mechanical and machinist experience
• Must have aluminum welding experience
• Must be willing to learn and assist with other duties

Travel

• Rare if any local or out of state/overnight travel.

Work Hours

• Normal work hours for the Welder/Fabricator job are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

Pay

• Salary range is $55,000 - $70,000 depending on experience.

IGI focuses primarily on three key segments of the AV space: 1) Advanced Visualization, 2) Advanced Audio-Visual Integration, and 3) Corporate AV Integration.

Advanced Visualization projects involve the design, engineering, fabrication and building of large scale, high-resolution visualization systems for the Fortune 50 and U.S. Military. These technology solutions include PowerWalls, virtual reality (VR) Rooms, and immersive stereo/3D technologies including motion capture labs.

Advanced Audio-Visual Integrations projects consist of large dvLED and other LED video wall solutions, control rooms, and other complex, sophisticated solutions.
